About us
Our southeast Kansas ranch was founded in 1867.  We care for the land and more than 200 cow-calf pairs every day of the year.  During the summer we custom graze yearlings and put up a lot of hay.  We started this site to counter the lies being told about agriculture.  With roots going as deep as ours, we feel compelled to speak out in order to preserve our way of life.

 Jody Donohue
This gun-toting, red-meat eating, Sunday school teaching, history geek is a bank marketing
manager by day, cowgirl on the weekends and blogger/web desiger/writer any time she can
squeeze it in.  She grew up on a ranch spending her summers on a horse checking cattle
being told she had a way with animals.

 Daryl Donohue
This cowboy is happiest when he's out talking to his girls--the cows that call our place
home.  He is rabid about ensuring proper conservation and range management
practices happen on his place.  In his spare time, this even bigger history geek can be
found doing living history showing people what really happened during Bleeding
 Kansas and the Civil War.

The Christmas Blizzard changed the landscape less than a week later.
